This dinner will include speakers Jeff Hewitt, the newly elected Libertarian Riverside County Supervisor; Judge Jim Gray, 2012 Libertarian Vice President Candidate; Boomer Shannon, Jeff’s Campaign Manager and Chief of Staff; and Susan Shelley, Vice President of Communications for the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association. There will be additional special guests to be announced soon. This will be an event you don’t want to miss!
In addition to our great speakers, there will be an exciting auction with with items celebrating our achievements, past and present, which will support our Candidate Support Committee to insure we have the resources to help our future candidates join Jeff in the winner’s circle. Our BIGGEST win!! During the 2018 midterm election, Jeff Hewitt was elected as Riverside County Supervisor, becoming the highest-elected Libertarian ever! He is now one of five County Supervisors for a county with a population of over 2.4 million! Riverside County is the 4th most populous county in California, the 11th most populous county in the United States, and has a higher population than 15 states! And with your help this is just the beginning. We are looking forward to running Libertarians throughout the state and being able to help them run professional, winning campaigns like the one that Jeff ran. Come hear him speak about how he and his team made this happen!
James P. “Jim” Gray is an American jurist and writer. He was the presiding judge of the Superior Court of Orange County, California. Gray was the 2012 Libertarian Party vice presidential nominee, as well as the party’s 2004 candidate for the United States Senate in California. Judge Gray will be our Master of Ceremonies and will be speaking on the past and future of the Libertarian Party here in California!
In addition, Boomer Shannon, will be speaking on the mechanics of a winning campaign! Boomer was Jeff’s Campaign Manager and lead the Hewitt team in all aspects of management and outreach and has a lot to share. Susan Shelley will share the victories in the last election and where the HJTA’s focus will be going forward.
