Why Say No on Prop 50

Proposition 50 would roll back independent redistricting and hand map-drawing power back to Sacramento insiders.
Fair elections require fair maps — Prop 50 undermines both.

• Independent oversight: The Citizens Redistricting Commission is citizen-led, not controlled by career politicians.
• Community representation: Fair maps keep neighborhoods and local interests together.
• Accountability: Competitive districts make legislators earn votes instead of relying on gerrymanders.

If Prop 50 passes, politicians could redraw districts to protect their own seats, carve apart communities, and tilt elections for years.
Once power is seized, it’s rarely returned. Say No on Prop 50.
